A total of 30 candidates would be contesting for the 21-member SIS Executive Board.

Support candidates from the 37th SSEAYP 2010 batch:

C-007 - Jed Senthil
"SIS has evolved over the years, and closely engaged the SSEAYP alumni, thanks to the contribution of past SIS Executive Board leaders. However, we live in even more unprecedented times, where the roles and profiles of the youths are fast-changing. SIS would need an energetic and innovative team to implement fresh ideas and initiatives. A fresh team of Executive Board members that is diverse and representative of the SSEAYP alumni will be important."

C-009 - Fong Yoong Kheong
"Within the SSEAYP Singapore fraternity, I hope to create more inter-cohort networking, tap on the experience of veterans in their fields to provide mentorship opportunities for aspiring youth who wish to make the world a better place. SIS can be top of the minds of youth when they want to contribute to the region."

C-017 - Parveen Banu
"SSEAYP embodies the spirit of unity amidst diversity regardless of background and circumstances. I envisage an SIS that mirrors the core values of SSEAYP and yet is nimble, energetic and flexible to leverage on the opportunities and challenges presented by today's VUCA climate. Let's propel SIS to greater heights as a 21st century leader in thought leadership to help fulfil ASEAN's millennium development goals and remaining grounded to foster a united and passionate alumni."

Let's hear from them on what spurs them on to participate in the SIS Executive Board election!

Jed Senthil

"With the new board term, we hope to further evolve SIS towards being more attractive for the youths today, and relevant for the 1000-strong members (made up of various professionals and talents)," Jed Senthil
SIS has evolved over the years, and closely engaged the SSEAYP alumni, thanks to the contribution of past SIS Executive Board leaders. However, we live in even more unprecedented times, where the roles and profiles of the youths are fast-changing.

Jed's aspiration for the new term of SIS Executive Board is to further evolve towards being more attractive for the youths today, and being relevant for the 1000-strong members, comprising of professionals and talents, from diverse backgrounds, racial groups and across batches. To do that, SIS would need an energetic and innovative team to implement fresh ideas and initiatives. A fresh team of Executive Board members that is diverse and representative of the SSEAYP alumni will be important. Jed also calls for having more females in the alumi Board to ensure a good representation.

Parveen Banu

"SSEAYP embodies the spirit of unity amidst diversity regardless of background and circumstances," Parveen Banu

Parveen envisages an SIS that mirrors the core values of SSEAYP and yet is nimble, energetic and flexible to leverage on the opportunities and challenges presented by today's VUCA climate.

Parveen aspires to create a blueprint for the SSEAYP community for both our local and international counterparts to identify key pillars we wish to work on and set clear, measurable outcomes on what we want to achieve. Parveen hopes to propel SIS to greater heights as a 21st century leader in thought leadership to help fulfil ASEAN's millennium development goals and remaining grounded to foster a united and passionate alumni.

Fong Yoong Kheong

"Our SSEAYP network could be a springboard for Singaporeans who aspire to make a change in the region; and a focal point for our ASEAN friends (and Japan) to connect and collaborate with us," Yoong Kheong

With an institutionalised network within ASEAN, Yoong Kheong believes that the alumni body could do more to support members of the SSEAYP alumni and Singaporeans to connect with their counterparts in the region.

Within the SSEAYP Singapore fraternity, Yoong Kheong hopes to create more inter-cohort networking, tap on the experience of veterans in their fields to provide mentorship opportunities for aspiring youth who wish to make the world a better place. Yoong Kheong aspires SIS to be top of the minds of youth when they want to contribute to the region.
